“I have been playing drums onstage since I was a child,” says Welele. “I consider myself an evolving human being who is preparing myself and my generation to strengthen the world with love, respect, and acceptance.”
Welele first worked with CEI in June 2016, when he brought MobiCine to music camp participants in Jeannette. We immediately recognized his extraordinary artistry and ability to connect with the audience and impart a message.
Since then, CEI, Welele, MobiCine, and FastForward Haiti have developed a partnership to bring more educational films and artists to rural Haiti. Welele’s ability to motivate and educate through his art is extraordinary. He’s a powerful change agent.
