A Big 2018 for CEI!

Image

The new year at CEI is promising to be as impacting and awesome as the last one was. We want to start 2018 by thanking our Haitian team for the awesome accomplishments of 2017, and Haitian and American partners and donors who made it all possible.

We’d also like to give a shout out to Conan O’Brien for starting the new year off by showing the world some of the true beauty of Haiti.

In 2018 CEI will be building on the foundation we began laying in response to Hurricane Matthew’s devastation. At first, we thought we were offering short-term emergency relief to a zone that had lost crops, houses, and livestock. Within weeks, our Senior Advisor in Haiti, Rodolphe Eloi, and his team showed us how to turn disaster relief into development work with lasting impact. In 2018 we will continue to grow each of these Initiatives:

  • Goat Program
  • Agriculture Program
  • Water Program
  • Women’s Business Program
  • Music, Art, & Film Program
  • Training for Haitian Teachers
  • Cultural Exchanges, Residencies & Internships
  • Facilitation of Peer-to-Peer Networks among Haitians and Americans
  • Leadership, Nonviolence, and Conflict Resolution Training
  • Cohort Program for our new operational partner, the Haitian nonprofit APSHA
  • Building a more extensive, wider-based agribusiness in the zones we serve in Haiti

A huge thanks to each of you who has helped make this possible!
